Meet the Great-tailed Grackle ...
This bird has a large variety of raucous, cacophonous calls, some very melodic, but is considered to be a noisy pest species by some. They seem to be in Robert and Sue's, parota tree all day. Maybe they want some of their carrot cake. They are omnivorous. They are not "blackbirds".
Meet Saint Milla of Assisi ...
Milla would trade in all of her human friends for any animal. She once spent a month in the Amazon trying to help all the creatures.
from St. Louis Missouri. They sat and chatted about life for 2 hours. The weather was good and the energy was perfect.

March 18 is Mexican Oil Expropriation Day
It is one of the Fiestas Patrias of Mexico, celebrating the date March 18,1938, when the President, General Lázaro Cárdenas, declared that all oil reserves found in Mexican soil belonged to the nation, following the principle stated in the Article 27 of the Constitution of 1917. This measure caused an international boycott of Mexican products in the following years, especially by the United States, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
Even though today is a very important Mexican holiday, it was very quiet in Bucerias. It was also very hot, so Robert and Sue waited until 4 p.m. before they stepped onto the beach. Not many people were there, until along came a young lady named Amy
and her son Benny
Notice the flag of Mexico on the wall behind Benny.
