Robert wants to share a story on this special holiday ...
Robert's grandmother on his father's side was from Manchester England. Her name was Violet May. She was born on St. Patrick's day. She came to Canada as a young woman and met up with George. They married and bought a large house on McNaughton St. in Cambridge Ontario. As a young boy, Robert and his family, lived in the house with his grandmother. He called her Doll. She was very artistic and musical. She painted and could play the piano by ear. Robert even took piano lessons at age 5 just so he could play along side his grandmother. Robert and Sue had 2 children, Amanda and David. Both Amanda and David are very artistic. David began painting pictures at age 2. He is 37 and has painted many masterpieces. He taught Robert how to paint. Robert decided to paint something while in Mexico this winter so he painted Jack. Jack is 3 years of age and is very clever. He is also very artistic, so Robert thought that he would paint Jack's portrait and give it to Kathy, his nana, for her to keep in her family. Robert has spent a lot of time with Jack this winter, so painting him was easy and very enjoyable.
