When we are home back in Canada, Sue and I write a GRATEFUL list for the day in our journal just before bed.
Here is our list for today in Bucerias ...
1. the gecko on my ceiling
2. early morning walks on the beach
3. learning about a local physiotherapist from a fisherman on the beach named Ed
4. delicious supper of fresh mahi mahi done in garlic sauce at the restaurant called Los Pericos, located below our tree house
5. the candyman on the beach and the jewellery vendor named Xavier who had 12 children and no tv
6. the warm ocean waves washing my sore feet
7. the parota tree that gives us shade and the llamarada (fire blast) plant growing up the side of our building with the beautiful orange flowers
8. the bread knife that our landlord, Francisco gave us today to cut our warm fresh bread
9. the Paso de Sol 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile served at supper
10. the sand raker machine that cleans the beach every morning
