Thurs. Feb. 20 - The Fire Truck

Sue left the treehouse around 9 a.m. to going for her morning walk on the beach with Betty.

Rob is still nursing his sciatica so he stayed back and swept leaves.  He also finished his painting of the original Mexican flag.  (see today's Feature post)

Just as Sue arrived back in the treehouse a few hours later, we could hear the blast of a horn and a loud siren.  The sounds were even louder than the music coming out of the Drunken Duck bar every night.  We looked over the balcony at the primary school below and noticed a large fire truck.  The fire fighters were loading the primary students into the back of the truck.  The teacher was dressed as a fire person, and off they went around the block.  The students waved at everyone.  They felt very special.  What kid doesn't dream of riding in a fire truck one day.

Sue and Rob skyped with their son, Dave in the afternoon for their international music lessons.  Dave teaches Sue piano and Rob guitar.  Believe it or not, the lessons went well.

Kathy, Bill, and Jack invited Sue, Rob, and Betty over to their place for a barbeque.  Bill is a pro on the bbq and Betty entertained the group with her stories of her primary school days back in Galt, Ontario Canada.  Betty is 66 and she remembers all the nuns very well especially the one who gave the boys the strap.

Everyone returned to their accommodations at watched the olympics.
Horray for the Canadian women's hockey team for winning GOLD over the U.S.!!!
